Say it before you drive away
Speak or type the note while the conversation is fresh. Area8 can pick out dates and commitments, then asks you to confirm them.
Private field notes for restaurant operators
Area8 remembers what you saw, who you said it to, and what still needs to happen across every restaurant you run.

Built for the person between stores
A notebook can hold the detail. A notes app can capture quickly. A spreadsheet can sort a list. None of them keeps the whole district connected.

No scores, no grades, no dashboard for head office. It is your private record, built for your benefit.
The daily loop
Area8 turns the loose ends from every visit into one clear view of what needs you next.

Attach the note to a store, a manager, or both. A manager's history stays with them when they transfer.
Due dates, reminders, ownership, updates, and a closing note live together. Overdue work rises to the top automatically.
One tool, the whole district
Morning triage, store visits, manager conversations, reminders, walks, and weekly paperwork. Connected without becoming corporate software.
See what you owe, what someone owes you, and which store it belongs to from one roll-up.
No account, no backend, no advertising ID, no analytics. The app does not even ask Android for Internet access.
Dictation requires Android 12 or newer with a ready on-device recognizer and language pack. There is no online fallback; typing always works.
Build the checklist you actually use. Flag what needs attention, add a note or photo, and open a loop without scoring a person or a restaurant.
Inside Area8
The app opens onto the work, keeps the important count visible, and stays ready for one-handed use.

Private by architecture
Area8 keeps its database on your phone. You choose when to export, where your backup file goes, and who sees a report.
Android first
Area8 1.2.0 is available on Google Play. Free covers one store; Pro is an optional one-time upgrade. New backup files are not encrypted, so keep them somewhere private.
